We are glad to have you assist us as a Contract Pilot on our fleet. Contract crew members are a valuable part of our team, and so we want to ensure things go smoothly and you have the information and resources you need.
First: Once scheduled for a trip, you will receive a link from our HR Department. To set you up in our system as a contractor, you will need to fill out all of the information you receive from them ASAP.
Second: You will receive a request for pilot credentials and information from our Flight Ops department. Please note there are several important documents you will need to forward as soon as possible directly to operations@starairgroup.com
Third: Flight Operations will be your contact to arrange transportation (flights, ground transportation etc.) for each part of the trip. It is standard SAG policy that our Flight Ops team make your arrangements. This ensures backup flights are booked and every effort is made to position you without delay. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Fourth: Please keep track of all personal expenses and receipt copies for reimbursement. Receipts are necessary for reimbursement.
All expenses are direct bill pass through. SAG does not offer Per Diem.
As with all expenses, spend our money and the clients’ money like it were your own.
- SAG food spending guidelines per day are $85 for domestic and $125 for international travel.
- Please report meals you paid for and include the name of any other crewmember you paid for.
- Please submit all receipts and expense reports as PDF files.
- If you use Uber/Lyft to or from the airport, it should be comparable to any other means of travel to and from the airport and or parking. (i.e. shuttle, personal vehicle and parking etc.)
- Please keep hotel tips to a minimum.

Your main point of contact during the trip will of course be the PIC or lead pilot on the account. Some items to make sure you touch base with them are:
- Expectation for dress attire
- Show times for the trip
- Any unique information about the client and their preferences
