CITATION X CREW – METRO NEW YORK REGION – DIRK LLC

DIRK LLC is seeking full-time pilots for our Part 91 operated Citation X based in lower New York.

Due to current crew transition to a new airframe, we are searching for professional, enthusiastic, and easy-going pilots to join our flight department in the operation, care, and stewardship of our well-maintained, winglet-equipped, Citation 750.

The aircraft flies 250-300 hours a year, both domestically and internationally, including occasional trips to Europe and beyond.  All candidates must be type rated in the C750. Strong candidates will have recent Citation X experience, 12-month currency, and recent international experience.

This is a high-level customer service position that requires discretion and attention to detail.  We are seeking pilots who can make rational decisions independently without the need for micromanagement. We allow a good deal of latitude regarding how tasks are accomplished.  We are an all-hands-on-deck organization, so we expect the crew to take care of things like light interior/exterior cleaning, stocking, iPad management, etc. We are also ADA compliant and expect the crew to assist as appropriate and necessary.

You: 

  • Are a seasoned pilot with stick and rudder skills sufficient to fly in varied environments including
  • Have varied experience to include – but not limited to: winter operations, mountain flying, international operations, oceanic operations.
  • Take care of the aircraft with a sense of personal ownership that satisfies an enthusiastic and dedicated owner.
  • Do not need an invitation to load bags and do not require further post-graduate education to figure out how to make it fit.
  • Are discreet, professional, level-headed, and take the privacy and security of the owner seriously.
  • Treat FBO staff as part of your team, with patience and respect no matter how bad things are going.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures aircraft airworthiness and documentation
  • Determines weather and NOTAMs applicable to assigned trip(s).
  • Ensures aircraft fuel requirements and weight and balance requirements are met
  • Ensures that all flight planning and permitting requirements have been met
  • Completes an aircraft preflight inspection before each departure
  • Ensures passenger safety requirements are met
  • Coordinates with dispatch, maintenance, and crew members for proper execution of trip requirements
  • Operates the aircraft per company standard operating procedures, AFM, and in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations
  • Utilizes appropriate crew resource management in the accomplishment of all trip requirements
  • Completes an aircraft post-flight inspection after every flight and immediately reports any findings to dispatch and maintenance control
  • Maintains and transmits aircraft and technical logs

  • FAA ATP Certificate
  • First Class Medical
  • CE-750 PIC type rating required
  • 4,000+ hours total time*
  • 2,000 PIC*
  • 2,000 Multi*
  • 1,500 Turbine*
  • 1,000 Turbojet*
  • 100 time in type
  • Valid US Passport
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
  • Reside within 3.5 hours of lower NY (HPN TEB etc.)

*Time requirements from our open pilot insurance policy. We have discretion to accept slightly different requirements that do not meet the above requirements.
